We have recently had our building and extension work carried out at our home address, and employed Essential Developments Ltd to carry out the required work. We were both apprehensive about the work being carried out, as we have a young family and busy jobs, and were concerned about the disruption this would cause and the length of time the work would take.

We were visited by Jason Parkes, one of the owners of the company, who explained their work ethos and payment schedule. We were given other quotes for the work by different builders, but had been recommended to Essential Developments, and we felt their quote and time schedule was practical and reasonable.

Near to the time we were told they could start the work, we recieved a phone call to give us an exact date and the builders arrive before 8 o’clock on the agreed morning. From that day on, someone was at our house completing work for the entire 8 week schedule, with the exception of one day. Even on that day, we were informed that no one would be coming and the reasons why. The builders were friendly, professional, hard working, and never made us feel uncomfortable around our home. At the end of each day they would leave the site as safe and tidy as possible. At the end of each week, Jason would call round to discuss the work, and check we were happy with the progress of our extension.

We changed our minds a few times during the 8 weeks of work, but nothing was too much of a problem, and all our changes were accommodated. As the work was being done to extend our kitchen and living area, the builders did their utmost too keep the disruption to a minimum, and worked around us a much as they could. The work finished on time and to schedule, with only a few extra days needed to tidy up some last pieces of work. Our garden and drive were cleared and cleaned as promised after all the work had been completed.

Our finished extension is of fantastic quality – we were impressed throughout with their attention to detail and a finish to the highest standards. We are extremely happy with the work that has been done and would recommend Essential Developments Ltd to anybody looking for quality and reliable builders to carry out their work.
