About Warwickshire Essential Developments
Since our birth in early 2005 Warwickshire Essential Developments, most people know us as Essential, has established itself as one of Warwickshire’s most decorated, reputable and customer friendly building contractors.
About Us
Operating predominantly in the private sector, Essential works ‘hand in hand’ with our clients to build additional space, improve, remodel and renovate their properties. We help you to design your home and turn your ideas and property dreams into reality.
Founders Jason Parkes and Lee Penton and the wider Essential team have gained a wealth of experience over the years from their involvement in projects of all sizes, budgets and differing specifications. Whether you are at the early idea stage or ready to move forward, we take the time to understand your needs and guide you through the process.
Consistently providing the highest levels of service and quality, our work is centred on the specific nature of each project and its individual requirements. We understand that no two projects are the same, and our approach reflects that.
Quality Service
The level of service we provide has been recognised within the industry, resulting in Warwickshire Essential Developments winning numerous awards and receiving nominations both locally and nationally from governing bodies and construction organisations.
The Essential team are extremely proud of these achievements and remain committed to the values that have brought these successes.

Meet Jason Parkes
Jason loves the construction side of the business, particularly the structural works and the creating.
He deals with all day-to-day activity on site and has a great relationship with building inspectors. His expertise in the trade has led to him winning ‘Construction Specialist of the Year’ for the West Midlands, named by Local Authority Building Control, as well as being nominated for the ‘National Award’ – a serious accolade that he and all at Essential are extremely proud of.
Jason’s experience, practical knowledge and hands-on approach ensure that each project is always delivered to a high standard from the ground up.
Meet Lee Penton
Lee works more on the clerical and operational side of the business, ensuring materials are ordered and everything is running as it should. He remains hands-on and is on site daily, helping to make sure everything is ticking along nicely.
Lee has also been approached to represent ‘Local Builders’ working with suppliers to better understand the services they provide and how they can support construction companies.
He has sat on the committee with Warwickshire College and the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to discuss apprenticeships and training within theconstruction industry.
We realise that undertaking a project on your home is a major decision and investment. Working with the right contractor makes a significant difference, and our aim is to make the journey and overall experience as smooth and as positive as possible.
Both Jason and Lee remain in direct contact with clients and are available every day to talk, ensuring a personal and responsive service throughout every stage of the project.
